Together with their passion for skin health and wellbeing and immense love of LED light therapy, our co-founders Hannah Measures and Laura Ferguson have built and evolved The Light Salon. What started as a single facial bar in Harvey Nichols in 2015 led to the Boost LED Light Mask and Décolletage Bib for chest and neck. It’s been two years since they partnered with the best in LED light therapy to create their very own devices, which deliver clinically-proven red 633nm and near-infrared 830nm wavelengths to plump, hydrate, calm and reset the mind, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, improve hydration, and even skin tone.
The Light Salon Boost LED technology directly aligns with our founder’s ethos of easy maintenance. Both Hannah and Laura loved their facials but wanted a convenient and accessible offer for everyone. The customer who is low maintenance and wants a fuss-free option for LED light at-home, but also invests heavily in their treatments and skincare. Therefore they use LED to make their invested time and money work even harder.
And despite the challenges of the last year, The Light Salon team has proven to be stronger than ever before. “We acted quickly to make business changes with the biggest impact,” said Hannah. “We moved our fulfillment operations out of London. We packed and shipped goods from home. With the guidance of experts we evolved our website and digital offer. And our skin therapists became our warehouse support staff and customer service. Running your own business means hard work, resilience, problem-solving, and adapting.”
As we celebrate two years of Boost technology, we’re excited to reveal the expansion of our LED devices and additional skincare essentials to support and enhance the benefits of our products. The Boost LED Body Patch (coming soon) is just as the name implies. Apply the patch to areas of pain and stiffness to reduce strain and inflammation. Treat the hands, wrists, upper arms, elbows, décolletage, stomach, lower back, calves, knees, and feet.
“Regardless of the challenges of 2020, we were strengthened by and are grateful to every single one of our team members for supporting us and working so hard on our behalf,” said Hannah. “We haven’t taken any time off, we’re tired, often emotional, and running on empty, but we also feel strong and powerful that between us all we got through it! Whilst the future remains uncertain, we know we’ll get through whatever comes next.”
