Through years of delivering LED therapy in professional treatments, The Light Salon Co-founder Laura Ferguson observed that the smoother and more hydrated the skin barrier, the better it absorbs light. Unable to find a formulation that effectively combined exfoliation and hydration, Laura designed her own: Boost Enzymatic Cleanser & Mask.
This multi-tasking formula is designed to complement LED treatments, helping to prep the skin for optimal light absorption while supporting hydration and skin clarity.
Do I need to use a specific cleanser with LED?
No, but it helps. A lot. Boost Enzymatic Cleanser & Mask gently but powerfully exfoliates without stripping the skin, providing a perfectly smooth canvas for even light absorption. It also hydrates, balances, brightens and protects your skin barrier.
How do the ingredients optimise light absorption?
The formula contains a combination of enzymes, 70% hydrating actives and a hero PHA to gently exfoliate and smooth the skin whilst maintaining optimal moisture levels.
What is a PHA?
PHA stands for Polyhydroxy Acid, an ingredient that works in a similar but gentler way to Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). Our formula uses Gluconolactone PHA, which provides a peel and hydrates the skin without increasing its sensitivity to light. It’s also an antioxidant and eliminates free radicals (which cause the signs of ageing).
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
The Cleanser is suitable for all skin types including sensitive, dry and blemish-prone. For a deeper skin purge or intense moisture hit, apply a generous layer and leave for five to 10 minutes before removing with a cloth – you won’t believe how smooth and soft your skin feels afterwards.
